This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use Measure The Lawn, a free US-only lawn area/perimeter calculator. Measure The Lawn is provided by GREENERLAWN SERVICES LLC, Missouri, United States. By using the site, you confirm you are at least 18 years old.
Information we collect
Address and location. When you enter an address or use “Use my location,” we use that information only to center the map and run the measurement tool. We do not store address or location on our servers. Your request is sent to Mapbox (our map and geocoding provider) to fulfill your search; we do not retain it. Mapbox or our hosting provider may process or log requests as part of their normal operations. We do not use address or location to identify you.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the service is used (e.g. page views, referral source). Google Analytics collects data according to its own policies; retention is at Google’s discretion. See Google’s Privacy Policy. We do not use analytics to identify you personally.
Logs. We or our service providers (e.g. hosting) may log requests from time to time for operation and security. We do not use logs to identify you.
Map and geocoding. Map and geocoding are provided by Mapbox. See Mapbox Terms of Service and Mapbox Privacy Policy.
How we use information
We use the information above only to provide the measurement service, fix errors, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with service providers (Mapbox, Google Analytics, hosting) only as needed to run the service, subject to confidentiality and use restrictions.
Where data is processed
Data is processed in the United States. We do not transfer your data for the purpose of identification or profiling.
Advertising
We may use Google Ads or other advertising services in the future. Third-party advertisers may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads and measure performance. Their use of data is governed by their own policies (e.g. How Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites or apps). You can control ad personalization and cookies through your browser or Google’s settings.
